We are looking for a solutions-driven efficiency expert to complement our Project Management Teams in delivering optimal service to our clients. If that sounds like you, read on!
Job Description:
Project Managers are an integral part of what we provide at GUNN Consultants. They are the primary point of contact for the client, and manage many of the day-to-day activities relating to the project, including, but not limited to:- Daily Project Management
- Meetings with Client, Architect, and Construction Team
- Communicating with architects and developers to ensure the design conforms to building usage and requirements
- Meetings and Coordination with the internal Design Team and Project Personnel
- Oversight and supervision of Project Team members
- Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements
- Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving issues
- Review of architectural drawings for equipment configurations, and code compliance as it relates to vertical transportation
- Field review/Site inspections of elevator and escalator equipment
- Reports, letters, faxes, transmittals, etc.
- Review of design, traffic calculations, and specifications prepared by the internal Design Team
- Bid review, contract review and preparation, bid negotiation
- Business development
- Other business duties as required
- Some travel to project locations

Who you are:
- Famous for exhibiting a high level of coordination, prioritization, and organization
- Strong attention to detail (i.e. recognizing written errors, reviewing documents for accuracy and consistency)
- Known to take initiative and close cycles of action
- Work well independently
- Deadline driven and solution focused
- Passionate about consistently achieving an exceptional engineering product
- Ready to speak up to ensure procedures are followed
- Natural curiosity for processes and how things connect
- Knowledge of electronics and mechanical equipment
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Experienced with project coordination and management involving multiple stakeholders
- Experienced in the construction industry, 3- 5 years ideal
- Bachelor of engineering degree
- Registered with EGBC or equivalent Provincial Regulatory Body, P.Eng designation an asset
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation an asset
- Self-employment experience an asset
- Knowledge of elevator and escalator installation, maintenance, and upgrade an asset
- Excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills
- CAD/Drawing experience ideal
