The road to success is always under construction. - Lily Tomlin
I began my professional career as a systems engineer for an elevator contracting firm, where I acquired technical knowledge in new construction, modernization, and material fabrication. Ensuring public safety in the elevatoring design has always been my priority. I’m passionate about creating safe and reliable elevator systems, and have enjoyed the challenges of engineering design, installation, and alteration. When the opportunity arose to join GUNN, I was excited to apply my skills in a consulting role and make a meaningful contribution.
I prioritize clear communication and continuous learning as key principles. The focus on clear and effective communication helps foster a collaborative environment where complex engineering concepts can be easily understood and executed. I’m also committed to continuous learning. With obtained certificates like SolidWorks CAD Design Professional (CSWP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB), I ensure I stay updated to support my professional development.
I was involved in musical performance at senior homes and hospitals for several years. I love being able to bring joy and comfort to those in need through music. I also officiated at youth and junior-level basketball competitions to support young athletes and contribute to their growth. Additionally, I have acted as a mentor in the UBC Engineering Mentoring Program, where I assist future engineers in preparing for their careers. These experiences have allowed me to give back to the community in meaningful ways.
