How did you arrive at GUNN? What path brought you here?
I graduated from SAIT with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and worked mostly in the fitness industry before starting here at GUNN. I love learning and expanding my skillset which is why I felt it was time for a change to a new industry. Working at GUNN has opened my eyes to a whole different world of marketing that I never would have known existed prior to starting here. I love what I do here, and I can’t wait to keep learning and see where this takes me.
Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now?
I grew up in Kimberley, BC. I moved to Calgary for school and to experience life in a new city. It was a big change going from a small town to a big city, but Calgary feels like home now. I try to make it back to Kimberley as often as possible to ski and visit family though!
What are you passionate about personally? What can’t you stop talking about?
Fitness is my biggest passion. After finishing my degree, I got certified as a personal trainer and worked as one for a few years. Although I’m not in the fitness industry anymore I’m more focused than ever on reaching my goals and continuing to get stronger. Getting into the gym has helped me become the person I am today. Aside from the physical and mental benefits it has taught me discipline, consistency and that I am stronger than I think and can overcome any challenge life throws my way.
